FHIR tutorials and hands-on sessions
To all IT professionals in healthcare: HL7 FHIR DevDays are coming to Amsterdam again!
HL7 FHIR DevDays is an event for IT professionals in healthcare, whether new to FHIR or with previous experience, to learn about FHIR in a collaborative environment. HL7 FHIR DevDays offers a chance to work with the specification surrounded by others doing the same thing, side by side with experts to answer any questions. The three pillars for DevDays are: education, sharing of ideas and networking.
The FHIR Core Team, as well as other FHIR experts, will be present to deliver tutorials, guide the hands-on sessions and work one on one with attendees to discuss issues.
And don’t forget our night on the town! We are heading for ZuidPool (South Pole) a venue with authentic winter scenery. But do not worry, it will be warm and cosy! Socialize with the other attendees and talk about the beautiful city of Amsterdam, your personal life, your motorbike, your wife and husband and kids and specialty beers, but we won’t go so far as to forbid discussions about FHIR. As long as you’re there.
Let’s plant some trees folks !
FHIR would never have been there, without AirFrance KLM, Air Canada, Qantas and Delta flying the standards people across the globe to meet at connectathons and work group meetings. Don’t even try to calculate the carbon dioxide emission FHIR has caused. We are improving healthcare and ruining the planet in the process. FHIR DevDays doesn’t make it any better. Last year’s edition had 350 people from 25 countries, most of them flying in at Schiphol Airport. And hey, we are already below sea level, remember?
So, what do we do?
We do what the airlines do, but slightly different. When you buy a ticket for DevDays, you can add a tree to your order. Or two. Or ten. For every tree that you buy, Firely will buy another. On November 30st, we will plant those trees ourselves, here in the Netherlands, with the help of Trees For All. We’ll post some photos on Twitter (@FirelyTeam). Download the PDF for details in English on Trees for All.
Come to DevDays, and buy a tree!
The official language of the conference is English.
The ‘User Community’ track offers a platform for sharing of implementation experiences and best practices in a series of presentations.
The venue set-up and social event provide the opportunity to get to know others who have the same challenges that you are facing.
